The Stakeholders

1. Persona Segmentation

Our design is centered around three core user personas. By segmenting stakeholders by their familiarity and motivations, we move beyond generic navigation to address specific emotional and functional needs.

User Priority Definition

  • Primary users: The Explorer and The Veteran (current students with different familiarity levels, who represent the core day-to-day product audience).
  • Secondary users: The Guest (visitors and parents, who need guided, contextual campus storytelling rather than routine navigation support).
The Explorer

"How do I get to my next class?"

New students or users unfamiliar with XJTLU. They need lightweight orientation and clear paths to reduce anxiety.

The Veteran

"Is there anything new happening?"

Returning students who know the map. They seek social hidden gems, trivia, and reasons to rediscover familiar spaces.

The Guest

"What makes XJTLU special?"

Visitors and parents. They need an accessible "highlight reel" of campus culture, history, and architectural identity.

2. Key Insights & Strategy

Key Principle: One campus, multiple journeys.

We design for the "Level of Familiarity"—moving from functional support to emotional engagement.

Strategic Evolution: By segmenting stakeholders, the platform transforms from a static map into a dynamic campus companion that evolves alongside the user's journey.
